guess who?

His birth name was Julij Borisovic Briner and he was born in Vladivostok, Russia.

Before he achieved fame, he was the director of a children's puppet show on CBS called, "Life with Snarky Parker".

He was an accomplished photographer and took many photos on the sets of the various projects he worked on over the years.

He loved modern appliances.

He always prepared breakfast while wearing a silk kimono.

He was very good friends with Deborah Kerr.

He worked as a trapeze artist with the famed Cirque d'Hiver company.

Mary Martin suggested him for the role for which he would be known.

Welcome back! My guess is Yul Brinner (although I have no idea how to spell his nam). Mary Martin recommended him to narrate "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"? ;)

That was my guess. I had zero idea he was Russian. I have always preferred his performance of Rameses to Moses...but that may be because of Nefretiri swooning over Moses.

Correct! Yul Brynner.
Mary Martin recommended him for the role of the king in The King and I, silly girl!
