many rivers to cross
the year: 1955
the genre: adventure
the cast: Robert Taylor (Bushrod Gentry); Eleanor Parker (Mary Stuart Cherne); Victor McLaglen (Cadmus Cherne); Ralph Moody (Sandak)
the plot: Bushrod Gentry is a footloose frontiersman and trapper in the early American West who winds up being pursued by a very determined Mary. The hullabaloo ensues as she sets about trying to trap him into tying the knot. Bushrod, for his part, seems more willing to tackle Indians on the warpath rather than submit to matrimony and be tied down.
don't miss: everyone in cahoots to get Cadmus to wear spectacles.
watch for: Mary's brothers (you'll recognize Gideon and Benjamin from 7BF7B and the Professor from Gilligan's Island) and Luke (the Skipper from Gilligan's Island).
extra bonus points: if you can name the character Eleanor Parker plays in The Sound of Music.
listen for: "The higher up the berry tree, the sweeter grow the berries. The more you hug and kiss a girl, the more she wants to marry."

Is she the Baroness? or whoever Capt. George Von Trapp is originally engaged to? I've blocked out most of the Nuns...
She is indeed the Baroness!
