guess who?

He had a half-moon shaped scar on his left cheek caused by a bicycle accident he had as a young boy.

He and his younger brother appeared together in a vaudeville act.

He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in economics.

He was due to play the male lead opposite Judy Garland in Easter Parade, but broke his ankle playing volleyball. He withdrew from the film and encouraged Fred Astaire to come out of retirement to replace him.

He had a fever of 103 degrees while filming the movie scene he is most famous for.

He directed the dueling Barbra Streisand and Walter Matthau in Hello, Dolly!

I guess Gene Kelly! Momma always said you shouldn't stand out in the rain or you'll get sick...

I second Erika's vote. I can appreciate his style, but I still prefer Donald and Fred's style.

One thing I'll say about Gene Kelley, he makes everything he does look so easy. He's easily the most athletic of the dancers of the age. But you're right, the others look like they're having more fun.

I still think Gene Kelley's greatest work was the roller skating finale of Xanadu.
