with six you get eggroll
the year: 1968
the genre: comedy
the cast: Doris Day (Abby McClure); Brian Keith (Jake Iverson); Pat Carroll (Maxine Scott); Barbara Hershey (STacy Iverson); George Carlin (Herbie Fleck)
the plot: Abby McClure, a widow with three sons, and Jake Iverson, a widower with a teen-age daughter, get fixed up. don't miss: the fate of the wig. I'll just say that a sheepdog was involved and leave it at that.
listen for: "False hair, false eyelashes, false bosoms. In my day women were flesh and blood, now they're 70% nylon and 30% foam rubber."
did you know: this was Doris Day's final big screen appearance, following a 20 year career in the movies.
extra bonus points: if you know which two M*A*S*H alumns appeared as hippie bikers in this film.
also listen for: "If this wasn't my house I'd go home!"
